Dodger Blue Fans Can Once Again 'Go Green' This Season, Thanks to the MSRC Stepping Up to The Plate

The MSRC's Clean Transportation Funding will help operate a fifth season of the Dodger Stadium Express, taking fans to and from Union Station and Dodger Stadium for all 81 regular season home games. By showing their game ticket, fans can ride for free on clean-fueled Metro buses via a dedicated bus lane to the stadium. For those without tickets, the fare is only $1.50 each way. MSRC funding also will help operate special Metrolink trains for cross-town rivalry games against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. MSRC Shuttle Bus At the press conference kicking off the Dodger Stadium Express service for this season, MSRC Chair Greg Pettis was on-hand to share the MSRC's excitement in partnering again with Metro and the Dodgers on this program. "The MSRC is pleased to provide a fifth year of Clean Transportation Funding for the Dodger Stadium Express because it helps further our mission to improve air quality for all Southern Californians," Greg explained. "Taking Dodger fans out of their cars and getting them onto public transportation reduces congestion around the stadium for everyone, which helps to reduce air pollution from idling traffic. Plus, riding on CNG buses in dedicated bus lanes makes it a faster and cleaner ride to the game." MSRC members Supervisor Michael Antonovich and Highland Mayor Pro Tem Larry McCallon also participated in the recent press conference. With Dodger Stadium raising its parking prices to $15 per game this year, the Dodger Stadium Express is a more economical way of taking in a game, in addition to the timesaving and environmental benefits the service provides. So, 'Batter Up' Dodger Blue fans and ride clean and green to the games on the Dodger Stadium Express.
