The City of Corona designed and constructed a fast-fill compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling station at the City's corporate yard complex. The corporate yard is located at Cota Street and Corporation Yard Way, North of the SR91 and West of interstate 15. The station is accessible to the public 24 hours per day, seven days per week and accepts major credit cards as forms of payment. The station is equipped with two CNG compressors with a combined capacity of 500 standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM)and two fast-fill dispensers. The station was designed to allow for additional dispensers as fuel demand increases. The station accommodates both 3,000 psi and 3,600 psi fill pressures. Construction was performed by Weaver Electric, Inc. under contract to the City. The station became fully operational as of September 2, 2003.

The availability of publicly-accessible alternative fuel infrastructure benefits all areas within the South Coast AQMD. This station is located in proximity to Interstate 15 and is an element of the Interstate Clean Transportation Corridor.
This project co-funded development of an alternative fuel refueling station. Refueling infrastructure is an essential and enabling element of low-emission, alternative fuel vehicle programs. Emission reductions are credited to the low-emission vehicles that utilize the station as opposed to the station itself. It is estimated that approximately 60 vehicles will utilize the station. The City of Corona estimates that approximately 806,860 vehicle miles will be traveled annually using CNG dispensed from this station. Identified station users include the Riverside Transit Agency, Riverside City College, Corona-Norco Unified School District, County of Riverside, City of Norco, and the City of Corona's transit buses and city-owned fleet vehicles.
The Final Report includes an Abstract, Project Summary, Project Benefits, Conclusions, and fuel throughput projections.
