New Online Submission Process for Local Government Match Applicants

March 24, 2011

DIAMOND BAR, Calif. - Furthering its commitment to clean air and the environment, the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) has implemented a new online submission process for applicants of the FY 2010-11 Local Government Match Program. Applicants must submit their proposals online using the MSRC's easy-to-use online submission software. Applications will be accepted beginning April 5, 2011.

Submitting applications online saves paper by eliminating the need to photocopy and package proposals, and reduces emissions associated with driving to the MSRC to physically deliver the applications. The MSRC hopes that with the success of this pilot program, online submissions will be expanded to other work program categories in the future.

ABOUT THE MSRC

The Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) was formed in 1990 when Assembly Bill AB 2766 was signed into law authorizing a $4 motor vehicle registration fee. Thirty percent of the $4 fee or approximately $12 million annually is used for programs administered by the MSRC. All of the programs eligible for funding must reduce air pollution from mobile sources.

Membership of the MSRC is made up of representatives from the transportation agencies of Riverside, Los Angeles, San Bernardino and Orange County, as well as the Southern California Association of Governments, Southern California Rideshare, California Air Resources Board and the South Coast Air Quality Management District.
