Two New Funding Opportunities from the MSRC

The MSRC is excited to announce that it has two new funding opportunities available, totaling up to $6 million.

The Transformative Transportation Strategies and Mobility Solutions Program Opportunity Notice is a call to action for local businesses, nonprofit organizations and public agencies to submit a proposal for innovative “people” mobility ideas - those which go above and beyond traditional transportation demand management strategies. The MSRC is seeking submissions ranging from a concept paper to a full proposal for projects focused on “people movement” that have a nexus to the transport of those who live, work, and play in the South Coast Air District. This program has up to $3 million available. Submissions are due by August 5, 2022.

The Major Event Center Transportation Program has up to $3 million available for zero and near-zero emissions transportation options for major event center destinations in the South Coast region. The purpose of the program is to facilitate transportation to qualified major event centers, not sufficiently served by public transit, to get event attendees out of their cars and onto alternative transportation modes. As this is the final edition of the program, its objective is to successfully transition the MSRC’s long-time transportation partners to ongoing, sustainable event center transportation. Applications are due by October 28, 2022.
