The City chose to install the Cleaire Horizons retrofit untis. They units were purchased and installed by Ironman Parts and Services,Inc. in Corona.
The objective of the project is to purchase and install 18 diesel exhaust after-treatment devices on a portion of the City's diesel fleet.
Initially, the City had a few driver complaints about a slight loss of horsepower on the units with smaller engines. However, over time the technicians have not noticed any significant loss of power. Over all, the City is impressed with the Cleaire units.
All units are installed. The City did experience some difficulties with the installation of the units. Most of the initial problems related to the units air pump. However, the problems were resolved and the City received good service from Ironman.
