Project Objectives
Caltrans is committed to reducing emissions from its statewide fleet of heavy-duty, diesel fueled vehicles including the retrofitting of over 285 heavy-duty, on-road, diesel fueled trucks with exhaust retrofit devices. Under this contract, Caltrans will retrofit eight (8) heavy-duty vehicles built in 2001. Vehicles use an International, DT 530 engine and are fueled with ultra low sulfer diesel.
