Contractor installed chargers at thirteen sites to support Los Angeles Department of Transportation (LADOT) and City Hall. Chargers are both induction and conduction varieties. A total of forty-five chargers were installed. They are open twenty-four hours a day and are accessible to City employees and the public.

The chargers were installed at various locations throughout the City of Los Angeles. The distances driven by the vehicles, public and private, which used the stations are not known. It is possible that the entire City and the Los Angeles basin benefit from the emission reductions these vehicles provide.
Charging stations do not, by themselves, reduce emissions. They do make the use of electric vehicles more convenient, encouraging their use, and thereby decreasing pollution.
