Project Background

Contractor, in partnership with Ford Motor Company, developed a low emission medium heavy duty engine fueled by liquefied petroleum gas (LPG); i.e., propane. Contractor enhanced the fuel metering system with a new microprocessor, a newly integrated communications module, new software strategies for enhanced evaporative emissions control, and new software catalyst protection strategies.
