Project Implementation

The areas of benefit are defined only by the miles driven by any potential purchaser. This engine may be used any place in the world where General Motors vehicles are available.

Project Results Description

The 7.4 liter LPG engine offers a 47% reduction in Nitrous Oxides as compared to the baseline low emission standard. The standard for an Otto-cycle engine is 1.5 grams per brake-horsepower hour(g/bhp-hr) while the IMPCO engine emits 0.62. Using a deterioration multiplication factor of 1.3, the engine received a Nitrogen Oxide certification value of 0.80.

Project Status Description

Details of the upgrades of lines and fittings and numerous other upgrades made throughout the design and manufacturing process. Financial data is provided.
