Project Background

Two Gator light-duty utility vehicles provided by Deere & Company were converted to fuel cell power and instrumented to collect performance data. They operated at the Palm Springs Regional Airport to evaluate performance and assess the potential for emissions reductions by fuel cell powered airport ground support equipment. A hydrogen refueling facility was installed to power the vehicles.
