The City of Los Angeles entered into an agreement with the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) "Showcase" project in an effort to demonstrate clean air Diesel Particulate Filters, (DPF) for the purpose of examining the feasibility of effectively using this technology to provide clean air alternatives for Off-Road Diesel powered equipment.

The DPF device was successfully installed on City equipment # 44905, a 2004 CAT, IT14G, Tractor Wheeled Loader. operated by the City of LA Bureau of Street Services. The Bureau of Street Services operated the equipment with the DPF device installed and logged 701 hours of usage based on the engine hour meter between 09/10/10 and 11/30/12. This project has been completed.
The City agreed to install a DPF device on City equipment # 44905, a 2004 CAT, Tractor Wheeled Loader. As a result of this Showcase project along with other testing from other agencies, CDT was successful in obtaining CARB verification.
This project has great expansion and replication potential for both on-road and off-road fleet equipment operating harmful diesel powered engines.
As a result of the test, the DPF device has been used to reduce harmful particulates into the air using this DPF device. Clean Diesel Technologies was able to obtain CARB verification for their product.
