At its May meeting, the MSRC members re-elected Larry McCallon, Mayor Pro Tem of the City of Highland, as its Chair with the full support of the Committee. This will mark Larry’s eighth consecutive year as Chair. He has been a member of the MSRC since 2013 representing the San Bernardino County Transportation Authority and previously served for four terms as the MSRC’s Vice Chair. Larry was first elected to the Highland City Council in 2002 and represents the 16 Cities of San Bernardino County on the Governing Board of the South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD).

Last summer, the MSRC, the Port of Los Angeles and the Port of Long Beach entered into a unique partnership to reduce air pollution in Port-adjacent communities.

Voltu Motor will deploy 10 new Ford F350 Class 2B/3 medium-duty electric pickup trucks as part of a pilot project for the City of Riverside’s Fleet Initiative.

On January 22, Forum Mobility hosted a ribbon-cutting for its new “FM Harbor” facility at the Port of Long Beach, touted as the largest port-based truck charging depot in the nation.

MHX, LLC, a full-service logistics operations company, has added 10 Kenworth T680E battery-electric Class 8 trucks to its fleet at its anchor facility in Fontana. These new e-trucks are part of the company’s pilot program to eventually transition its current fleet of 75 heavy-duty diesel trucks in California to zero-emission.
