Contractor developed an on-line business reference service, including access to full-test periodical databases, City web pages, the Glendale public library, and calendar of events for the Downtown Theater District. The goal was to provide information on the internet. The user can obtain the desired information without having to drive into the City to physically access the information. The banking portion of the project was eliminated and other city services access was substituted for user convenience.

The web site was used 18,598 times in the first month. A conservative projection of emissions reduced by elimination of automobile trips is: Reactive Organic Gases, 120 pounds reduced annually; Oxides of Nitrogen, 94 pounds reduced annually. As the program grows to include more of the city services, the emission reductions will increase.
