Project Background

Contractor built a Metrolink Station in Newhall to serve Newhall, Valencia, and the southwest Santa Clarita Valley. Prior to construction, the average drive to the Soledad Station on surface streets took almost one-half hour. The new station will be more convenient. Commuters were by-passing Soledad and driving into Los Angeles and other regions on I-5 daily. This area serves over 50,000 residents. The Newhall station will also serve as a transfer facility to bus routes and other Metrolink lines.
